Macbeth

Blood-smeared, scarlet,
hands and face attesting murder
that his pale heart would quail at.
Holding the daggers out
with utmost care; his fingers shake
at what they could commit.
There's too much blood in it
but on he goes, deep desperation
driven by despair;
he wanted to be king
but not alone - there's no delight
left in it without her.
